It’s not often you see a female event promoter in the Essex house music scene, let alone two for one event; but that’s exactly what’s happening as Colchester’s Amy Lauren & Braintree’s Jessica Alice launch their brand new event “Deja Groove”.
They’ll be bringing a fresh new vibe of classic house anthems, a little twist of disco, and of course some banging Groovey Tech.
Amy Lauren says she’s extremely aware of the roots of the music she loves, and wants to create a space that is welcome and safe for all, just like the black and gay clubs of Chicago were at house music’s inception in the 1980s. After all “House Music is Black Music”
Amy Lauren is a DJ and Producer with a growing reputation, not just here in Essex, but across the world, as Tomorrowland named her as one of their 20 ones to watch for 2022.
Jessica Alice is a singer/songwriter that may be familiar to those in the essex scene, after she was named on BBC introducing in Essex’s “Sound of 2017” alongside such illustrious names as Dua Lipa and MUNA.
Up and coming DJ Charlie Lima after breaking on to the scene in 2022 and joining the Colchester Kings RFC he is back with his energetic vibe and will have everyone on the dance floor.
