Pace Oddity? – David Does Dance

24 May at 20:00

Ends at 23:30

David Bowie had more than a passing flirtation with ‘dance’ and ‘soul’ music throughout his long and diverse career… Regularly lambasted by purists for straying into an area which they wished he’d ignored, the truth is there are some absolute gems in this material. And many of his biggest hits had a distinct dance element to them.

The next Pace Oddity outing on Sunday 24th May will focus on this area of his output; there will inevitably be a few which don’t fit the brief, but we’re sure that fans of the man won’t mind.

So, a bit of a change from Anton’s first, largely acoustic Pace Oddity show at Three Wise Monkeys last year. Ben Howard (he IS a DJ, he is what he plays) will masterfully fill in the gaps, and if ever there was an opportunity to put on your red shoes and (you know the rest), this is it!
