TWM Live presents Wilswood Buoys + Shed + Armoured Man + Dean Frost, performing live at Three Wise Monkeys, Colchester.
Wilswood Buoys are a folk-punk trio made up of Josh, Joe and Alfie, combining driving acoustic rhythms, soaring harmonies and emotionally charged songwriting into a sound that feels equally at home in intimate venues and on festival stages. Known for their passionate live performances and relentless work ethic, the band have quickly become a rising name on the UK folk and alternative circuit.
A major milestone for the band came with recording an album produced by Frank Turner, before heading out on the road touring alongside Turner himself. Most recently, Wilswood Buoys recorded a brand-new album produced by folk legend Sean Lakeman, renowned for his work with The Levellers and some of the UK folk scene’s most celebrated artists.
Over the years, Wilswood Buoys have toured with The Levellers and Ferocious Dog, while also sharing stages with and supporting artists including Newton Faulkner, Lottery Winners and Skinny Lister. Their energetic and emotionally charged performances have earned glowing praise from audiences and reviewers alike, being described as “raw, uplifting and impossible not to get swept up in” and praised for delivering “the kind of live set that turns first-time listeners into lifelong fans.”
