Colchester Punk Band, Special Duties formed in 1977 and more than 40 years later, Steve, Stu and Bart are busier than ever following the release of their latest album, 7 Days A Week last November.

Ahead of their much anticipated return to Rebellion Festival in August, we are delighted the band are playing at Three Wise Monkeys on Friday 29th July. We know fans of the band, old and new, will make this a very special night.

Special Duties will also be donating their fee to Colchester Engagement & Next Steps (CENS), formerly known as the Colchester Emergency Night Shelter, a registered charity which has been supporting the homeless for over 35 years, providing emergency accommodation and help to those most in need across Essex and Suffolk.

Special Duties will be joined by very special guests THE MEFFS. Hot on the heels after their amazing hometown headline show at Colchester Arts Centre, we are delighted that one of the UK’s best new punk bands are joining us on the night.

Opening proceedings is Greebo, a trio who have been winning over audiences since their very first show. One’s to watch for the future but get here early and enjoy them getting the crowd going.

Access – There is no lift to access the top floor of Three Wise Monkeys. There are flights of hand railed stairs to reach the top floor with rest opportunities between each flight.
