Marisa and the Moths are making waves with their unique alternative rock sound and the powerful vocals of Marisa. Their lyrics tackle heavy subjects such as mental health, toxic relationships, trauma, and sexuality, resonating deeply with those who have faced similar challenges.
Since their self-titled debut album release in 2019, the band has experienced tremendous growth. Their second album, “What Doesn’t Kill You,” reached the top spot on the Official UK Rock and Metal Charts. Fans have described the latest album as a cathartic experience that you can’t help but sing along to at the top of your lungs.
Both albums have received glowing reviews from esteemed publications like Classic Rock, Metal Hammer, and Kerrang! Their music has also been featured on mainstream radio shows such as BBC Introducing Rock on Radio 1, BBC Radio 2’s Rock Show, Kerrang! Fresh Blood, Planet Rock, Total Rock, and Primordial Radio. Additionally, the band recently recorded a live session at the iconic Abbey Road Studios, which will be released in 2024.
Marisa has also collaborated with Sophie Lloyd on her album, “Imposter Syndrome,” which was nominated for Best Breakthrough Album at the Heavy Music Awards in 2024. Their collaborative single, “Won’t You Come,” was released in November ’23 and features other renowned artists such as Lzzy Hale (Halestorm), Chris Robertson (Black Stone Cherry), Matt Heafy (Trivium), and Michael Starr (Steel Panther).
Having previously headlined their own tours and supported artists like Kris Barras Band, Von Hertzen Brothers, Those Damn Crows, As December Falls, and Elvana, as well as performing at festivals like 2000 Trees, Planet Rockstock, and Primordial Radio’s General Mayhem, Marisa and the Moths are poised to make a significant impact in the rock world and redefine the genre with their electrifying performances.
